Description: | Hand sewn men's vest, natural colour, linen, twill weave, completely handsewn.;;It is hard to date this vest precisely. It was saved as a family heirloom, but it was not known from which side of the family. The hand sewing is of a high quality. The four pockets, low cut at the front, and the absence of lapels, however, suggest a later date when sewing machines were widely available. |
