Description : | Major Robert Walter Fisk's uniform, which bears the ribbons of his Distinguished Service Order and 1914 - 15 Star and the insignia of the 8th Bataalion CEF, is made of fine khaki barathea military cloth. It is complete with bronzed collar badges depicting a "black devil" striding above a scroll lettered, "HOSTI ACIE NOMINATT" (Named by the Enemy-the regimental motto dating fromthe 1885 Reil Rebellion). The unifrom is complete with Fiske's forage cap, whipcord riding breeches, leather leggings, and Sam Browne belt with whistle. The uniform was tailored by the fashionable London firm of Hawkes & Company. |
