| Commentaires : | Virginite is a green rock that is found on the Baie Verte Peninsula and is composed of quartz-carbonate-fuchsite. Fuchsite is also known as 'chromium mica' and it is this element that gives the virginite its bright green color. The exposed surface may also turn to a rusty brown color however, commonly due to weather and other environmental conditions. Virginite is typically cut and polished, then used as a decorative stone. |
