| Description : | The mallet head is a single block of wood attached to a rounded, long piece of wood for the handle. The hole for the handle goes through the block and emerged on the other side. |
| Commentaires : | Trunnels are wooden pegs used to hold wood together in shipbuilding. The work trunnel is a variation on the word treenail. When the trunnel gets wet, it expands, holding the two pieces of wood together fast. Trunnels are usually in the shape of wedges with the smaller end inserted into the hole and pounded in with a mallet. |
