| Description : | The artifact is a cylindrical shape coming to a tapered point on one side. On either end there are holes which have attached pieces of rope. In each hole there are pieces of wood. |
| Commentaires : | Fishing weights are used in a variety of ways pertaining to both cast, fly and net fishing. In this case, the weight would have been used to increase net casting distances. Recently, lead weights have been outlawed in North America because of the high instances of lead poisoning in the water. They have since been replaced with more environmentally friendly materials. |
