Description: The artifact is a large, grey metal box camera with an orange lens with diagonal lines etched onto the box. The box is wooden with a serial number inscription on the side.
Narrative: This type of camera was first used in World War II aircraft. It was a stationary, wide angle camera with a torpedo plane alignment for documentation. This type of camera could also be used for aiming torpedos in an attack.
History of Use: Used by the United States Navy Aircraft to document torpedo launch and impact assessments.
