Commentaires : | British Overseas Airways Corporation was the state airline in Great Britain from 1939 to 1946 and the long haul airline from 1946 to 1974. In 1974 BOAC was amalgamated with another airline to form British Airways. Like Trans-Canada Airlines, BOAC used planes from World War II to expand their fleet, including flying boats for many of their flights. In 1952, BOAC was the first airline to introduce and use a passenger jet. It would have also become the first airline to use a Concorde plane had it not merged to become British Airways. |
Fonctions : | Would have been used as promotional material on BOAC flights. |
