Commentaires : | During World War II, the Canadian government was under threat from the east from Japan, and from Germany in the west. This prompted Canada to take a defense stance when it came to homeland security. During this time, Canada also took on the responsibility for training Air Force pilots from all over the British Commonwealth. This was due to the fact that Canada had vast open spaces that could be well defended to train pilots. Canada also became the hub of aircraft construction and civilians were used to fly the completed planes across the Atlantic. |
