Description : The trophy itself is made up of a black wooden base that is composed of five wooden sections that become smaller in circumference the closer they are to the top of the trophy. A silver-plated cup has been mounted on the top of the base, and one metal shield per year is added to the base, listing the members of the winning crew for that year.
Commentaires : This trophy was originally known as the Dominion Ale Cup, before being renamed the Molson Cup, and was donated by Carling O'Keefe Breweries in 1954. The trophy has since been renamed again, and is now known as the Molson Gerry Angel Cup, in memory of Gerry Angel, a retired employee of Newfoundland Breweries and Honorary Life President of the Royal St. John's Regatta Committee, who died in 2002. The trophy itself is made up of a wooden base that is composed of five wooden sections that become smaller in circumference the closer they are to the top of the trophy, a sliver plated cup that has been mounted on the top of the base, and metal shields that have been placed on each section, one per year, listing the members of the winning crew each year the trophy has been awarded. The trophy is awarded annually to the crew that comes first in the Men's Championship Race at the Royal St. John's Regatta, and was first awarded to the U.S. Air Police in 1954, and it was won most recently by Crosbie Industrial in 2006.
