| Description : | The 1909 Society Race Cup is a silver trophy with large, curved handles and a black base, and it is stored under a glass dome, which also has a brown and black base. The following has been engraved on the front of the trophy: "Regatta 1909. Society Race |
| Commentaires : | This trophy is the 1909 Society Race Cup that was won by the British Newfoundland Society Crew. The trophy itself is sliver-plated and the following has been engraved on the front of it, but no team name or list of crew members has been engraved: "Regatta 1909. Society Race. Won by." It is known however, that the crew who won this trophy also won the Society Race in 1908 and the members of the crew are: Coxswain Teddy Whitten, Stroke Alf Holwell, Gus Williams, Will Holwell, William Nixon, William Abbott, and John Anthony. |
