Description : The mask is made of stretch knit material and fits over the users' head. A fabric strap fits behind the users head to hold the mask in place. The mask has glass screens over the eyes. A tube attaches to the metal ventilator over the mouth and connects to a metal canister that filters the air that is breathed through the mask.
Commentaires : The Barringer Wallis & Manners Company began in 1860's by making tin boxes for biscuit manufacturers. In 1887 they changed their name to Barringer Wallis & Manners and into Barrinfer Wallis & Manners Ltd. In 1895. During WWII they began to make munitions and gas mask and their cases. In 1914, the company began to manufacture toys.
Fonctions : Soldiers wore these masks during WW2 to prevent inhaling poisonous gas.
