The center of the circle has been remover and allows the wood of the body to show. The hands are made of a silver coloured metal. The same metal has been used to form the edge of the glass cover that protects the face. The clock has four brass plaques affixed to the center section. The plaques are not original to the clock and have been added after the clock was produced.
