| Commentaires : | The Pomquet Railway Station, Antigonish County, Nova Scotia was torn down in the early 1960s. An April 13th 1988 Casket item..."Pomquet residents boarded the passenger car attached behind the freight cars and traveled to Antigonish, automobiles not being so readily available as they are today. The trains would stop every three or four miles to let people on or off as the case may be. The train station was a gathering point not only for people traveling from the community, but with other residents as well for the community's post office was just next door to the station. |
