| Narrative: | This foot exerciser was designed and patented by Henry Simon Garner in the United States in 1935. It was sold by McGearys Cantilever Shoe Company located at 145 Tremont St in Boston, Massachusetts. McGearys was known for its flexible Cantilever shoe designs. The company made shoes for men, women and children. The foot exerciser was advertised to relieve tired, cold or aching feet, strengthen muscles and correct swollen ankles. These exercisers were often offered as promotional gifts with the purchase of shoes. |
