| Description : | A T-shaped Garden Rake head or ferrule. Handforged; the horizontal metal bar of the Garden Rake is comprised of a row of ten holes in which metal teeth are inserted. The design allows for thirteen metal teeth, however there are ten teeth present. On the vertical ferrule edge, which would connect to a handle, there are two holes. |
| Commentaires : | A garden tool produced by blacksmith, Big Donald MacDonald of Addington Forks, Antigonish County. He was a native of Glenuig, Moidart, Scotland and emigrated to Nova Scotia in 1843; wife's name was Mary, a native of NS who bore ten children. |
