| Narrative: | Excerpt from a newspaper showing a photo of a youth, Michael Leo Cameron of Fairmont with an ayrshire cow which he had shown through the Boys and Girls Club; [Excerpt from unidentified newspaper clipping; probably The Casket 1924] M Leo Cameron, Fairmont was good enough to drop in yesterday afternoon with some reports which have not yet been published from the Winter Fair at Amherst. Two girls belonging to one of the CB swine clubs have won the Maritime championship, thus qualifying for a trip to Toronto to compete at the Royal Fair. In the open stock judging, Ernest Smith, Clydesdale, took first place in swine, while M L Cameron took third in beef and fourth in sheep. In the Maritime Bacon Breeders exhibits an entry belonging to Angus Chisholm, North Grant, took eighth while alive, and third when dressed. Pigs belonging to Ernest Smith took first and fourth in the open swine competitions and first and third in the Boys and Girls Swine Club contest. Antigonish lambs took seventh place in the inter-county pen of market lambs contest. |
