Description : Beige linen a) has all edges sewed under except one lengthwise edge, which is just stitched but not turned under b) has raw edges
Commentaires : Was woven on the large loom which is in the Parkdale Maplewood museum.  They were woven by Murray Mader's grandmother.
Fonctions : Linen is a type textile made from the fibers of the flax plant.  History of linen use goes back many thousands of years. Dyed flax fibers are found in a prehistoric cave in Georgia which is evidence that woven linen fabrics from wild flax were used some 36,000 years ago.
