| Description : | Light beige leather designed to go over ones toes. additional leather on top for reinforcement. Metal grommets in place so that one could lace through string and tie around the back of foot to secure the insert over the toes. Used to either fill a boot that is too large, or to protect toes when shoes deteriorated. Laces included. |
| Commentaires : | Used in in the Army by Mechanical Engineer Sgt. Thurston Banks who served from 1942 to 1946. Thurston Banks was born and raised in Rossway, N.S. He was a Canadian Heavy Weight boxer, and was runner up for best in Canada Armed Forces. |
