| Description : | Navy blue naval outfit including uniform top and slacks. Top has a deep neckline and collar on the back that falls on shoulders. In the neckline at waist height there is a tie likely designed to tighten the top. Navy blue patches on each shoulder with embroidery. Zipper going from left under arm to bottom of top for removal and putting on top. In the inside of the collar's left side there is a tag. The bottoms are a navy blue to match the top with one button in center front for closure. And a line of four buttons across the groin area holding up a flap. There are no embellishments or tags found on the bottoms. |
| Commentaires : | Worn by Ainsley Leroy Tidd (Aug. 1923 - July 2009) of Whale Cover, Digby, N.S. who served at Cornwallis, N.S.. He was assigned harbour craft duties during World War II. Ainsey Leroy Tidd was married to Elma Marie Tidds if Little River, N.S. in 1945. Their children were Judith Marguerite, Claudia Joy, and Gerry Leroy. Ainsey's parents were Donald Chipman Tidd and Edna Myrtle Frost-Tidd. |
