Commentaires : | This base of a punch bowl belonged to Katie Biggar. The glass is called carnival glass. This type of glass got its' name from the fact it was given away at carnivals. The main bowl is missing. It often sat in the base. Katie was the daughter of Joshie Gwinn from Aspy Bay. She went to Boston when she was a teenager and worked there the rest of her life. She lived in the Dorchester area of Boston , as did many of her relatives. Katie gave many of her beautiful dishes to display at the museum and supported Ruth Morrison's efforts towards the building a museum in the Cape North area. |
