| History of Use: | The 87th Royal Irish Fusiliers served in Halifax from 1872 to 1876. The Battalion arrived from Malta and disembarked on 10th June 1872 and met by the Colonel of the Regiment, General Sir Charles Hastings Doyle, who lived in Halifax. |
