| History of Use: | Canadian Civil Defense Organizations were raised across Canada during the Second World War. After German submarines were discovered crossing the Atlantic and making their way to Canadian shores and harbours, civil defence groups began rallying. After the Second World War, groups remained active with the threat of nuclear weapons and the Cold War. |
