| History of Use: | The Field Telephone EE is designed to provide communication without the use of batteries. The only energy used in such a transmission system is the sound energy of the voice talking into the telephone. Telephone sets need to be connected by suitable wire and typical range is up to 9 to 12 miles. This is a military item manufactured for the US Signal Corps during WWII. American signals equipment was often used by Canadian units |
