Description : | A black and white photograph of four members of the 26th Canadian Reserve Battalion Relay Team, in their running gear, with the Regimental Sergeant Major kneeling in front; believed to be taken near Bramshott, England where the unit served. The photograph is on a light brown, hard cardstock matte frame with a brown border around the photograph, a descriptive note printed above the photograph, and names of the relay team and RSM typed on the matte below the photograph. Encased in heavy mylar. |

Fonctions : | 26th Canadian Reserve Battalion (Nova Scotia). Organized at Shorncliffe on 4 January 1917 under the command of Lieutenant-Colonel A. G. Vincent. Authorization published in Canadians Routine Order 271 of 20 January 1917. Formed by absorbing 40th, 112th and 211th Battalions and the Royal Canadian Regiment on 22 January 1917. Moved to Bramshott on 8 January 1917. Reinforced 25th Battalion and Royal Canadian Regiment. Absorbed by 17th Canadian Reserve Battalion on 15 October 1917. (From Library & Archives Canada) |
