| Commentaires : | Belyea Family, Cambridge-Narrows, New Brunswick. Location of photograph is Horsefly, British Columbia and features Ida Matilda Belyea Jones (1884-1969), c. 1925, the daughter of John MacDonald Belyea and Rachel Cox, Lower Cambridge, who married Frank Jones and migrated to British Columbia from New Brunswick. Ida Jones regularly sent photographs back to her family in New Brunswick, documenting her life far from home. Ida and Frank Jones were ranchers, with Ida acting as a midwife in the local community. Two sons, Lawrence and Fred were guide outfitters, trappers and assistant guides in the area. The herringbone fur coat Mrs. Jones is wearing is as spectacular as the rest of the scene. |
