| Description : | Letterhead is Information Bureau Canadian Red Cross Society 14/16 Cockspur Street London, SW.1. Appears to be a form letter, bulk of letter written in black ink, spaces for patient name and hospital printed in ink. Note handwritten in top left corner indicating letter was answered 26 May 1917 In answering please repeat Name, Number, and Battalion of Soldier. Dear Sir, I beg to inform you that Driver J.J. Bourinot no 301,255 - 9th Bde C.F. A. who is now at 2nd Southern General Hospital Red [?] Maids. Bristol, England I write to tell you that Driver Bourinot is at the above hospital suffering from inflamation[sic]of the kidneys. Our Red Cross Authorised[?] Representative has been to see him and reports that he is slightly better, he's [?] still ill, and unable to be out of bed. He is being thoroughly well looked after, everything being done for his comfort and recovery. He will be regularly visited & I will let you know of his progress from time to time. Any little comforts, other than those supplied by the hospital, that he may want, will be sent to him from this office. With best wishes for his welfare.
