Letter: Dear Jack,- I thought that both you and Lottie would like to get a line from me after my return home. We have placed nearly everything in position and the plant is working the same as usual. I am sorry now that I had not gone to Mahone and looked carefully over the ground before moving all my belongings there. It would have saved me considerable money; but what is the use of crying over spilt milk. I wish to express my sincere thanks to both you and Lottie for many acts of kindness on behalf of myself anf [sic] family. I will have the Record out on Friday. Will lose some ads. but expect to gain others later on. To show that I have some new ads., I am taking the liberty of reproducing the Creamery's ad. from the Journal-Bulletin. You may see the manager and tell him that my charge will be the same as the Journal's if he wants to have it in the Record/ We will send Lottie a few gallons of foxberries next week. They are superior to those of previous years. At least they look that way to us. He contracted it from a neighbor's boy. They seem to be light. I hope that Marshall or Elorrie will not catch them just as I am about ready to bring out the Record. Earl is having the time of his life eating fruit and other delicacies. Measles have been going the rounds here for some weeks. |
