| Description: | This photograph was taken during the construction of the Canso Causeway from the Cape Breton side. The Strait of Canso can be seen with ice floating in it. A copher dam can be seen lining the outside of the construction area. Through the center of the construction area, the area where the water was drained can be seen. To the left of the photograph the cart tracks can be seen, they were used to help move materials. Lots of construction materials can be seen scattered throughout the construction site. A large crane can be seen in the center of the photograph with a smaller crane located in front of it. Two trucks are following behind the train. Six men can be seen to the right of the photograph on the first level area. |
