| Description: | This photograph was taken on the official opening day of the Canso Causeway on August 13, 1955. The photo was taken inside the bridge. Two officers can be seen sitting on two motorcycles. Both officers are wearing black hats and have sashes coming across their bodies. Another officer is standing to the right of the motorcycles, he is wearing a white hat. To the left of the photograph, three people can be seen looking at the officers from the side of the bridge. The box office can be seen at the top of the bridge. The bottom of the photograph has a hand written description that says "Opening Canso Causeway 55'." |
