| Description: | Black and white photograph taken during Canso Canal construction. The image is taken from the Cape Breton side of the Strait of Canso and looks over at Cape Porcupine showing the rock that was taken out of the mountain to build the Canso Causeway. The image shows cofferdam put up in the Strait to aid in building the Canal. There is also a roadway going into where the cofferdam Is placed and a car sitting on the construction site. There is a crane on the right side of the cofferdam and various other machinery on the left side. |
