| Description: | This photograph was taken during the construction of the Canso Causeway Canal from the Cape Breton side. Porcupine Mountain can be seen in the background of the photograph. The foreground of the photo is a construction site and a gravel road. A few people can be seen on the construction site. The Canal construction can be seen in the middle of the photograph in the Strait of Canso. There is a gap between both ends of the canal construction. Balanche Point Lighthouse can be partially seen on the right side of the photo. Point Tupper can be seen in the distance in the left side of the photograph. |
