| Description: | A colour photograph taken during the "50 Years of Quilting" ceremony at the St. David's United Church in Port Hastings, NS on August 7, 2005. The photo shows a colourful quilt with a stitch of the world map in the centre. The border of the quilt shows a road, a train track, a car and a plane. There are titles on each side of the quilt: left "Canso Causeway 1955-2005"; top of quilt "It's Cause for a Gathering"; right "Make it here any way you can"; bottom of quilt "By Plane, Train, Automobile... or Boat". There is a second prize ribbon attached to the quilt. |
