| Description : | Colored picture postcard, depicting a completed Canso Causeway. The image is taken from Cape Porcupine looking at the Cape Breton side of the Strait of Canso. There is a blue car seen driving along the road, and trees around the edges of the photo. The green swing bridge can be seen in the distance, and the town of Port Hastings is seen to the right. The back of the postcard has "THE ROAD TO THE ISLES CAUSEWAY" Connecting Cape Breton to the Mainland of Nova Scotia at the Strait of Canso. CAPE BRETON, N.S., CANADA. written in the top left corner. "Published by C. & G. MacLeod Ltd., Sydney, N.S., Canada" is written on the left side vertically. "P28736" Is written on the top of the back of the postcard, and "POST CARD" is written in red on the right side, along with a spot for a stamp to be placed. |
