Description: A black-and-white photograph depicting Canso Canal construction. The image is taken from above the cement walls of the canal, which are completed at this point. on the left side of the canal, there is a small building with a  man walking into it,  a construction zone with supplies, and a small area with railway tracks on the bottom left side. There is a small walkway going from the left side of the canal to the right, with a man walking across it. On the right-hand side of the canal, there is another construction zone with two cranes. In the background of the constructed canal is a cofferdam lining the water. The Strait of Canso is seen in the back, and there is fog on top of the surface of the water. Cape Porcupine is seen in the background. The image has a white border.
