| Description : | This photograph was taken during the construction of the Canso Causeway Canal taken from the Cape Breton side with a view of Porcupine Mountain in the background. This photo was taken in the winter, as there is ice in the Strait of Canso on the right side of the Causeway. A crane can be seen in the left foreground of the photo and a dump truck on the bottom right side of the photograph. Part of the bridge can be seen to the left of the photograph and a coffer dam is situated directly behind it. There is a large gravel pile across the whole length of the bottom of the photograph. |
