| Description: | A black-and-white image taken during Canso Causeway construction. It is taken from the Auld's Cove side of the Strait of Canso and is overlooking Cape Breton. The photo is taken from Cape Porcupine, and the town of Aulds Cove is also visible in the photo. A partially completed Causeway is seen in the Strait, and a crane is visible on the roadway. There are two men also visible in the photo, wearing hard hats, jack-hammering boulders on Cape Porcupine. The man in the white hard hat is John Rankin, from Judique, NS. |
