| Description : | The back of the photo reads: "From Mulgrave to Yarmouth-1955. Six Strait of Canso workers are shown at Havre Boucher CNR station leaving for their new duties on the Yarmouth-Bar Harbour ferry Bluenose. L-R: Frank Oneil, former Scotia captain, Alphonse O Neil, Eugene ONeil, Xavier Keating (a CNR trainman at Havre Boucher who briefed the travelers on the time-table), William Keating, Alex Murray, and Oscar Hadley. All of the travelers were from Mulgrave, displaced in May 1955 by the Canso causeway, " The Road To The Isle". |
