In this 2 page hand written letter (sent, June 30th 1917), Hector J. MacLennan writes to J.C. Bourinot to request $50 to repair an unattended, impassable section of road between Victoria Line and Church River Dennis. Transcription: J.C. Bourinot. Dear Sir, I am going to drop a line to let you know that there is a piece of road between Victoria Line and church[?] River Dennis that hasn't been attended to yet and it is impossible to go through it. So I am writing see if you would please give me commission of $50.00 for less would be of no use for such a bad piece of roads.
