HEWARD - MANAGER MEMBERS MONTREAL STOCK EXCHANGE 185 HOLLIS STREET HALIFAX BRANCH Nov. 2, 1917. J.C. Bourinot, Esq., Port Hawkesbury, N.S. Dear Sir:- We awknowledge receipt of your letter of Nov. 1st., enclosing cheque for Three Hundred Dollars ($300), additional margin on your account. Please accept our thanks for same. As you have nodoubt seen by the newspapers by this time, the Montreal market has minimum prices on all securities governed by the closing prices on Monday last. While we do not look for any advance from these levels until the Dominion Loan is out of the way, there seems to be very good buying of Dominion Iron and Steel today. It advanced to 53 3/4, but reacted towards the close to 52 1/2. The dividend meeting was held tday, and the dividend has been increased to five percent. Yours very truly, McDougall & Cowans.
