| Description : | Pictured are 16 students seated on the steps of Port Hood Academy. The photo is dated 1946. The teacher, Annie Mae (Gillies) MacInnis, is standing next to them. Union Jacks and and a Red Ensign are displayed on the wall of the Academy. Tables are set up on either side of the steps and items such as washboards are on display. | Commentaires : | There is a photo in the Port Hood Academy booklet that is set up very similarly. Stanley MacDonell appears in both pictures and you can tell they were taken at the same time. The flags are evident in both photos. The photo in the booklet is captioned Manual Training Boys 1946. It is a wider shot and you can see more wooden items displayed on the tables. |
