| Description : | Pictured is a group of primarily young girls in front of Port Hoods second Court House during July 1, 1927 celebrations.. There are older women behind the girls and a group of men can be seen standing at the entrance of the Court House. Most of the young girls are holding small Union Jack flags. Decorative ribbon decorates the entrance of the Court House. |
| Commentaires : | July 1, 1927 marked the sixtieth anniversary of Confederation. It was a big celebration because Canada was at war during the 50th anniversary in 1917. The second Port Hood Court House was built in1874. On December 5, 1935 it was destroyed by fire. It was replaced by the current Court House which officially opened in January of 1937. |
