| Narrative: | The Methodist Church is now St. Stephens United Church. The church was dedicated in 1886. Tenders were issued for the construction of the Old Academy in 1842. The Old Academy was replaced by the new Academy in 1911. The Presbyterian Church was known as the Union Protestant Church. The Presbyterians joined the Methodists at St. Stephens Church shortly before the official union of the Methodists, Congregationalists and some of the Presbyterians in June 1925. |
