| Description: | Pictured are people parading through the main street of Port Hood. There are school girls at the front of the line waving Union Jack flags. There are trucks following the people. A man, girl and woman can be seen at the right - they have veered off from the parade. A number of houses can be seen in the background but the most easily identifiable is the magnificent home of DF MacLean. |
| Narrative: | During WWII Victory Loans were used by the Canadian government to raise funds for the war. Citizens and businesses purchased bonds which became the precursor to Canada Savings Bonds. There were two War Loan drives in 1940 and they were followed by nine Victory Loan drives between June 1941 and October 1945. |
