| Narrative: | Richard Earle MacIsaac was born in Port Hood on August 7, 1898 to Cecilia Clare (Finn) & Archibald D. "A.D." MacIsaac. He married Annie Burke of Inverness on September 10, 1929 and the couple had six children. Earle worked in his father's general store and took over the business following his father's death in 1936. Earle MacIsaac operated Earles Store from 1936 until his death on October 28, 1958. Earle was the last mayor of Port Hood - serving from 1944 to 1946. |
