Between the tree and the store is a house that can be seen in the distance. A horse and carriage are pulled up under the tree. The driver of the car is a man and he is looking toward the camera. Another person is sitting in the back. |
| Narrative: | The date is more than likely 1927 as the car is decorated like many of the cars that appear in other photos of Port Hoods celebration of the 60th anniversary of Confederation. The store appears to be Angus MacDonalds (formerly Joseph Lee Harts). The building burned in the fire of 1942. If this supposition is correct than the home in the background is likely the Hart residence. |
