| Commentaires : | Jack MacMillan (1879-1940) was the son of John The Wharf and Mary (MacDougall) MacMillan of Hawthorne. Jack was the father to union organizer John Francis Lofty MacMillan. Hugh Duncan "Lewis" MacDonald (1897 - 1932) was the son of Margaret (MacDonald) and Lewis (Donald Ronald) MacDonald of Harbourview. Hugh Duncan worked as a hard rock miner in Northern Ontario and was killed in a mining accident. His Obituary Notice was in the August 11, 1932 Casket. He was killed by an explosion in the Beatti Mine. He was to return to Cape Breton on the following day. He was survived by his wife and child. |
