Description : Photograph of a man sitting in a chair with his left leg crossed over his right leg and his hands folded in his lap. The man, Alexander Smith, is wearing his U.S. Air Force Uniform. His hair is fair, and in this image combed over to the right. He appears to have a scar on his face just above the lip. The reverse of the postcard has the caption which written in blue ink. The caption reads: Sandy Smith W.W.I U.S. Airforce.The back also bears the stamp of the Electric Post Card Studio of Fort Worth, Texas.   
Commentaires : Alexander (Sandy) Smith (April 11, 1894 August 13, 1951) was the son of Lewis L. Smith and Flora Ann MacDonald. He married Winifred Bigney of Londonderry on December 10, 1919. The couple resided in the US. Alexander served with the American Air Force during World War I.
Fonctions : Alexander Smith was Flora Hennesseys uncle. The photo was in her possession. On April 30, 2011 when she was living in the Heritage House, Port Hood, she gave the photograph to John Gillies for the museum.
