| Narrative: | Katherine MacDonald was born in Mabou on April 24, 1892 to Martha (Finn) & Hugh MacDonald. She graduated from Normal College in Truro and earned her M.A. in Math from Queens. She married John Albert MacDonell of Port Hood on October 29, 1930. In September of 1941 she began teaching at Port Hood Academy and served two terms as Principal. She retired in 1959. She passed away December 7, 1980. |
