| Narrative: | Ada Myrtle Watts (1891-1965) was born on Marble Hill to Ada (Hart) and Hugh Watts. She attended Port Hood Academy and graduated from Truro Normal College in 1911. She taught on Port Hood Island until her September 29, 1914 marriage to Bert Tremaine Smith. Myrtle and Bert resided on Port Hood Island where they raised five children. |
| History of Use: | This was a family portrait. The donor recalled Myrtle telling her the portrait was done on the occasion of her engagement. |
