| Commentaires : | The map is by George T. Bates (1911-1990). Bates was an accomplished historian and calligrapher. He qualified as a Nova Scotia land surveyor in 1939 and opened his own office in Halifax in 1944. He created about 46 maps and drawings in the 1960s and 1970s depicting a number of subjects. |
| Fonctions : | The donor received the print from his sister who asked him to donate it to the Chestico Museum. She got the print in Staten Island, New York 40 years ago. |
